The new library. This was mostly an empty room.
The bedroom, which, while not empty before, was a mishmash of junk. Less so now.
I suppose I should have written about the process, but the truth is that while it was going on, I was working at something of a fevered pitch and didn't want to stop to chronicle it on the blog. Suffice it to say that I more or less turned the whole house upside down, gave it a couple of good shakes to get rid of the detritus, and then put it back together again in a more orderly, cleaner fashion. It felt good.
I've also been reluctant to blog because I am at present working on a longer writing project and want to put as much of my creative energy into that as possible. This means that posting here may be sporadic for a while. I am not shutting things down, though, as spring is blowing in on her dusty wings, and that means gardening. Gardening, for some reason, always seems to lead to blogging for me. So don't worry that I've dropped off the face of the earth. I'm still here; I've just turned inward for awhile.

Very nice. Wandered what happen to you.
ReplyDeleteHello, Susan-
ReplyDeleteJust poking around blogging friends (I don't normally have any time to devote to it much).
Glad you've signed up for the Asheville Fling! Looking forward to it.
I was so worried you were sick or hurt or worse - so glad to see you were just taking care of daily life stuff and busy. Whew.
ReplyDeleteWhen can you come visit me and help with my mess?
ReplyDeleteHi David--Hope you are managing to do some woodworking these days!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa--Looking forward to Asheville and catching up!
Anonymous--just doing lots of this and that. :-)
Sydney--Thinking of Maine this morning as I work on the novel. Definitely a research trip is in order, though heavy house cleaning probably will not be involved. Don't mind helping tidy up the cottage, though! :-)
Lovely --envious of that inviting wall o' books!
ReplyDeleteAfter you finish the novel, how about a book on how to make my house look like your house???
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the writing. No hurry. My house will wait.
Wow...you did a great job. I have no decorating skills at all. I have gardening skills and therefore I am outside all the time and the house gets left in the dust !!
ReplyDeleteExcellent. You are inspiring.
